During a live measurement, Airvana shows how your nervous system responds to your breathing. You'll see this at the bottom of the screen as a 7-point color scale.
In the first 5 minutes, the app takes a baseline measurement of your nervous system. During this time, the slider rests on the left side of the scale.
After the baseline is complete, the slider will move in real time, showing changes in your autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity as you breathe.
What the Scale Shows
Airvana uses values from your LF/HF ratio (a common measure of autonomic balance) to calculate this.
The colors on the scale represent different nervous system states:
Dark blue – Deep calm
Light blue – Calm
Yellow - Balanced
Orange - Active
Red – Overactive nervous system
Above the scale, we also show a written label (like "Calm") so it’s easy to understand at a glance.
After Your Session
Once your session is complete, you’ll see a chart titled “SpO₂ & LF/HF Over Time.”
The background colors of this chart reflect how your nervous system (and the slider) behaved throughout the session, from calm to active.
This makes it easy to understand how your body responded, even if you didn’t catch every moment live.
